HALLOWEEN WEEKENDER INDIA

Although not an occasion that has been traditionally celebrated in India, the last 5 years has seen a massive growth in the popularity of this predominantly Western celebration. 

All Hallows eve, as its actually known as, is in its real form a celebration remembering the dead, including saints (hallows), martyrs, and all the faithful departed.

As decades passed by its popularity rising from media led costume parties, gory themed events has made it become a rather commercial and secular celebration in most parts of the world, far cry from its actual concept that has roots in pagan culture. Nevertheless, today it has spawned a rather interesting and fun filled sub culture and a global phenomenon. Naturally, the events also spawned such spectacular themed decor, costumes and productions around the world. Eventually the trend has caught on in India.
